Community Services:  

The Stow Community Chest responds to all requests for funding based on the funds available from the annual campaign.  These groups provide health related assistance directly to a confidential client basis.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters provides special friendships to boys and girls, primarily from single family homes.

Boys and Girls Club
of Assabet Valley

Provides safe adult supervised programs for kids from 7-17 years of age. These programs are offered afterschool, during school vacations and in the summer. They include a wide range of activities of interest, enjoyment, and education to the boys and girls they serve such as recreational, sports, homework assistance, alcohol and drug prevention, and many others.

Cub Scout Pack #39 of Stow

Cub Scouts is a phase of the Boy Scouts of America program where young boys learn new skills, meet new friends, go on new adventures, but most of all have fun with the help of their leaders and parents.

Friends of the Council on Aging

The Friends of the Council on Aging is a volunteer group that raises money to supplement the Council on Aging special programs for Stow seniors.

 

Domestic Violence Victim Assistance Program

A unique community collaboration among central Middlesex police departments and non-profit agencies. Volunteers are trained to proactively advocate for victims of domestic violence and to offer immediate and follow-up crisis intervention services, including risk assessment, safety planning, and connection with supportive community resources.

Network for Women's Lives

Founded in 1992 by a small group of dedicated women who wanted to do something about the increasing violence against women and children of Central Middlesex communities. The Network accomplishes its mission through victim assistance, education and outreach.

Friends of the Randall Library

The Randall Library provides the Stow community with literary, arts and music, research and community resources. In addition, they have an active children's program and provide the Summer Reading Program for area youth.

Stow Boy Scouts

Founded in 1916, Troop 1 is the oldest troop in the country. Members learn through team work and build confidence through outdoor activities. Community service projects are required which benefit the Town of Stow, schools, churches, and civic organizations.

Stow Girl Scouts

Girls learn by earning badges and participating in individual and troop activities. Stow Community Chest funds have been used to support service projects for the community, provide funds for the town wide encampment and help fund the town wide roller-skating at Roller Kingdom.
